Board of Directors
Thomas is in his third year of serving as the President of the Board for the Vancouver Farmers Market. Outside of his service to the market, Thomas is a business and estate attorney at NW Legacy Law Center, P.S., located on historic Officers Row. He is a lifelong resident of Vancouver where he lives with his wife and two children. His family has been enjoying the market since he was a child, and now his children love coming to the market. Fun fact: his kids’ favorite vendor is Patty’s Kettle Corn. When not practicing law or working with the market, Thomas is active outdoors with running, skiing, biking, and kite boarding.
Thomas originally served as a lawyer for the market, and later resigned that position in favor of serving and providing leadership on the board. In his time with the market, he is proud to have witnessed the market’s vendors and staff continually improve the market for the community, including recent addition of the east side market and revitalization of the Slocum House. The market has also undergone a critical shift in the past few years from a volunteer run organization to now being run by a professional staff.

Joe has a long history in finance and is a great resource to the board in that regard. He also has a strong dedication to the community and has served on numerous non-profit boards in the Portland Metro area.
